The agitation is fuller and deeper than AirSpa — a different experience, not a better or worse one. For residents who respond well to warm water movement, whirlpool delivers something AirSpa doesn’t.
The tradeoff is that internal plumbing exists. Water moves through a loop. In a shared-use institutional setting, that loop needs to be cleaned — not just the surface, but the plumbing itself. This is the legitimate criticism of whirlpool systems in senior care, and it’s a fair one. The answer is not to avoid whirlpool. The answer is to engineer around the problem.
