The Shield™ Splash Guard for Service Sinks
A service sink splash guard stands between the worker and the splash that comes off a hopper or utility sink when fluids and waste go down the drain. The Shield™ creates a physical barrier at the source — containing splash before it reaches adjacent work areas, supplies, or staff. Cleaning protocols deal with splash after it lands. An engineering control contains it where it starts, alongside the PPE and cleaning your staff already use.
And Why It Matters
Contains Splash at the Source
A physical barrier before contamination reaches adjacent surfaces, supplies, or staff. Engineering control — not a cleanup solution.
PETG Construction
1/8″ PETG, roughly five times tougher than acrylic. The curved panel flexes under impact instead of cracking, and wipes down with the quaternary disinfectants and detergents used every shift.
OSHA Compliance Support
References OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 bloodborne pathogen splash reduction requirements. Physical barrier documentation for your exposure control plan.
Fits Service Sink Rims 0.25″ to 2″
Clamp fits sink rims 0.25″ to 2″ thick, including thin stainless rims. Tool-free installation, no drilling, no permanent change to the sink.
Wipes Clean in Seconds
Wipes down with the quaternary disinfectants and detergents already in your rotation. No added steps. Avoid solvent-based and abrasive cleaners.
No Workflow Disruption
Tool-free install. Clamps to existing sinks. No plumbing, no construction, no new cleaning products. Works quietly within your current operation.
Where the Shield Is Used
Built for regulated healthcare environments where service sink splash creates occupational exposure and compliance risk.
Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care
Soiled utility sinks, hopper sinks in resident care wings, and linen handling areas where staff interact with waste streams during routine care.
Hospitals & Acute Care
Dirty utility rooms and procedure support areas where sink proximity to clean supplies creates cross-contamination risk.
Assisted Living & Memory Care
Housekeeping closets and laundry support areas where staff work at service sinks without acute-care infrastructure.
Laboratories & Clinical Support
Contains splash during specimen handling and disposal at laboratory service sinks.
Stops exposure before it happens.
A visible engineering control that surveyors can see. Reference OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 in your exposure control plan with a physical product backing it up — and a barrier that supports your compliance program without changing how your staff works.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Shield
Does the Shield fit our sink?
The clamp fits rims 0.25″ to 2″ thick. Rims under 1.188″ use the long clamping bolts; 1.188″ and over use the short bolts. Both are included. If your rim is outside that range, contact us before ordering and we will confirm fit.
How do I clean the Shield?
Wipes down with quaternary disinfectants and pre-disinfectant detergents. Compatible with Cid-A-L™ II Quaternary Disinfectant and Turbo Clean™ Pre-Disinfectant Detergent. Avoid solvent-based and abrasive cleaners.
How does the Shield support OSHA compliance?
The Shield provides a physical barrier at the splash source — a documented engineering control addressing OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 bloodborne pathogen splash reduction requirements.
How does the clamp install?
Standard installation is a rim mount. Slide the metal base clamp over the sink rim edge. Position rubber mount pads between the clamp and rim for grip and surface protection. Insert the PETG shield into the clamp channel. Use the long clamping bolts for rims under 1.188″, the short bolts for 1.188″ and over, and hand-tighten. No tools. No drilling. No permanent modification to the sink.
Is the clamp included?
Yes. Every SKU 600040 order includes the Shield Clamp and Hardware Kit (600057): the U clamp and hardware, with both short and long clamping bolts, plus the installation guide. Nothing to order separately to get started.
Can we order additional clamps or replacement hardware?
Yes. For replacement bolts and hardware, order the Shield Hardware Kit (SKU 600058, $45.05). Moving a guard to another sink, replacing a clamp, or converting from the older adhesive mounting? Order the Shield Clamp and Hardware Kit (SKU 600057, $107). Rubber mounts (SKU 350257) are also available separately.
Ready to control the splash zone?
The Shield ships from Somerset, WI at $275 with prepaid shipping. Available direct, through distribution, and on Amazon.
