Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from care teams operating an Advantage™ system.

ReGen™ FAQ coming soon.

The tub keeps shutting off.

In most cases, this is GFCI protection at the receptacle instead of the panel. A receptacle-level GFCI is more sensitive and can trip on normal motor operation, which shows up as an unreliable tub even though nothing is actually wrong. This applies to both Advantage™ and ReGen™ systems. The fix is having an electrician move GFCI protection to a 15A Class A GFCI breaker at the panel — this isn’t a fault in the tub, and it’s worth asking your electrician to check where your GFCI protection is located before booking a service call.

The tub takes too long to fill.

In most cases, this comes down to a mismatch between the product type and your building’s supply, not a fault in the tub. A direct-fill system depends on real-time flow from the building, and a half-inch residential supply branch often can’t deliver enough of it — Apollo Advantage™ direct-fill units require a minimum of 10 GPM at 104°F. The Advantage Rapid Fill™ reservoir sidesteps this entirely by filling in advance. If the tub is already installed, the fix is a plumbing change; the better fix is confirming product type against your building’s supply capacity before ordering. This isn’t a fault in the tub — it’s worth asking your plumber to check your supply capacity, and asking us which fill option fits your building before you order.

Daily Care

Leave the door in the right position between baths (Advantage™ only). Apollo door seals are dual gaskets extruded from EPDM neoprene — like any sealing component, they hold whatever shape you leave them in, including “compressed.” Leave the door open, or closed without latching or sealing it, when the tub is not in use. Don’t leave it shut and sealed — that keeps the gasket compressed continuously and wears it out early. It’s a thirty-second habit that protects the sealing system for the life of the tub.

Parts & Ordering

Need a replacement part? Shop parts and accessories →

Ordering from an older manual? Part numbers change over the service life of a bathing system, so a manual that shipped with the tub can list numbers that no longer exist. Before you order, have your model name and series (for example, Advantage 6000 or 6300), the serial number from the data plate, and a photo of the part if you have one. Call 877-234-2284 or email techservice@apollobath.com and we’ll match it against the current catalog.
